When filing for his nomination, Partha Saradhi Reddy’s assets were pegged at around Rs 3,909 crore and together with his family, they touch Rs 5,300 crore. Most of its assets are shares and investments in Hetero Group.
Till 2021, the wealthiest MP was the late Mahendra Prasad of Bihar with over Rs 4,070 crore in assets including that of his wife and under the Hindu Undivided Family (HUF). RS MP for Janata Dal (United), who died in 2021, had made his fortune in pharmaceutical companies like Partha Saradhi Reddy.
After Prasad’s death, the founder of Ramky Group, Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy of Andhra Pradesh YSR Congress, became the richest MP with assets of Rs 2,577 crore. This label will now pass to the founder of Hetero Group.
Out of movable assets of Rs 3,858 crore, approximately Rs 3,407 crore are shares of Partha Saradhi Reddy. While out of Rs 1,249 crore, around Rs 1,140 crore is from his wife and Rs 105 crore in HUF.
The income of Partha Saradhi and her family in 2020-21 was Rs 140 crore. Liabilities, mainly rental deposits, are around Rs 73 crore. He has Rs 13 crore of jewelry and his wife Rs 6 crore. Partha Saradhi, who obtained her PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from Osmania University in 1997, had a net worth of Rs 16,000 crore according to the Hurun rich list in 2021.
Partha Saradhi and his wife do not own a vehicle.
There are four cases against him under the Medicines and Cosmetics Act. In Himachal Pradesh, a complaint has been filed by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization for allegedly manufacturing and distributing a drug declared to be of non-standard quality. Two other cases are filed in a court in Muzaffarpur in Bihar. The fourth case is in Salem in Tamil Nadu.
