Kicking off the short trading week, PMI and ISM are expected
Investors will take a short break from the wild trade that has gripped Wall Street next week. But as investors return from their long Labor Day weekend, they can expect comments from Cleveland Federal Reserve Chair Loretta Mester, as well as a batch of services data. .
The revenue record looks relatively bare, though reports come from American Eagle (AEO), Bilibili (BILI), Coupa Software (COUP), Dave & Busters Entertainment (PLAY), DocuSign (DOCU), GameStop (GME), Kroger (KR), Nio (NIO) and RH (RH).
The market was closed yesterday for Labor Day. Today, the S&P Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for services in the United States, as well as the services index of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) are due out.

GitLab Inc. (NASDAQ: GTLB — $48.31) develops software for the software development cycle in the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific. GitLab will report its third quarter 2022 results after today’s close.
Guidewire Software Inc. (NYSE: GWRE — $68.51) provides software products to P&C insurers worldwide. Guidewire Software will report its second quarter 2022 results after today’s close.
UiPath Inc. (NYSE: PATH — $16.10) provides an end-to-end automation platform that offers a range of robotic process automation (RPA) solutions primarily in the United States, Romania and Japan. UiPath will report its second quarter 2022 results after today’s close.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, Cleveland Fed Chair Loretta Mester will speak on Wednesday. An update of the international trade balance and the beige book are also expected.
